Technical Architect

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for customer engagement in the Reporting landscape discovery, orientation, Report Builder and Insights training, report development consulting, and governance strategy development by working with clients, and making sure they're tracked and recorded till the end.
- Apply specialized knowledge of reporting requirements by working closely with customers to evolve their reporting needs, defining the scope, consulting functionally as well as technically to achieve the best solution.
- Gather reporting requirements specific to Odessa and with input to proprietary Report Builder in mind, including requirement finalization, high-level design and then handover to Insights development team for low level design, development, and testing.
- Technical consulting and report development consulting, including advising on Report Builder usage, Insights data models, and custom queries for complex data retrieval.
- Perform customer information management and governance with weekly Data Eco system connect, discussing open issues, customer pulse, status indicators for the Reporting workstream, and apply specialized Odessa reporting knowledge to advise on best practices for all projects.
- Introduce new reporting initiatives to improve customer experience through discussions with senior leaders, understand the pain points, and strategizing the best solutions to resolve those issues.
- Monitoring reporting issues faced by the client, promptly documenting, and raising those with product/insights team to resolve issues and execute releases, thus improving the customer reporting experience.
- Present the Odessa Reporting Workstream governance to senior leaders weekly, obtain senior management feedback, including documenting and implementing requested changes.
- Collaborate with other reporting workstream/insights team members to ensure they follow the same best practices applied in the reporting workstream for all other projects, supporting consistency and compliance with the right processes and providing reporting guidance wherever needed.
- Providing support for queries during the user acceptance testing (UAT) phase and analysis or solve issues arising in Reports and related Data Model during the UAT phase.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus seven (7) years of experience in customer engagement and reporting. Specifically, seven (7) years of experience must include:
- C#;
- SQL Server;
- ADO;
- ASP.net;
- Data modeling;
- Javascript;
- Report development consulting and governance strategy; and
- SSRS – SQL Server Reporting Services
This position can be fully remote - one (1) day per week (Thursday) on-site in Philadelphia, PA encouraged. Must reside in Philadelphia, PA metro area. Approximately 10% domestic travel.
