Odessa, a leading provider of lease management software, announced today that it has joined Pledge 1%, a corporate philanthropy movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in business. Comprised of over 4000 leading companies across 90 countries, included powerhouses like Salesforce and Atlassian, Pledge 1% empowers companies to donate 1% of product, equity, profit, and employee time to pressing issues around the world.
“We’ve taken the pledge to give 1% of our time, 1% of our profit and 1% of our product to charitable causes,” said Jay Mehra, COO, Odessa and Odessa Foundation Board Member. “As part of the 1% employee time, our teams donate their efforts and expertise doing planation drives, food rescue, building housing, mentoring young people, and offering hundreds of helping hands for local community organizations.” Mehra emphasized that “What excites us most about this initiative is the global reach we will have. To manage this commitment to philanthropic leadership, Odessa has launched the Odessa Foundation – an independent nonprofit organization to centralize our corporate social responsibility initiatives. The foundation’s mission is to focus primarily on efforts related to supporting global education.
